Diplomate Scholarships
The Academy of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies provides scholarships to professionals seeking certification in cognitive behavioral therapy and early career CBT professionals who identify as members of the BIPOC community. This program allows early career professionals who identify as Black, Indigenous, or as a person of color to apply for participation in the Academy’s Diplomate Program as a Certified Cognitive and Behavioral Health Therapist.
Diplomates participate in an evidence-based, interdisciplinary, and mission driven organization
bringing the latest in CBT advancement to our profession and the consumers we serve.

Trainer Consultant Scholarships
For those who have been a Diplomate with the Academy for at least five (5) years, you are now eligible for certification as a Trainer Consultant. The Trainer Consultant program offers many benefits, including, but not limited to, the opportunity to provide training and conduct ratings on behalf of A-CBT. The program also supports continued professional development and advancement within Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies.
As the Academy continues to expand its training services, it is essential to cultivate a robust and diverse group of CBT professionals qualified to train on behalf of the organization. To support this goal, this scholarship opportunity is specifically intended for Diplomates who identify as members of the Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) community.
The Academy is deeply committed to equity, inclusion, and the amplification of diverse cultural perspectives within CBT. Increasing representation among Trainer Consultants strengthens the Academy’s ability to meet the growing demand for high-quality, culturally responsive specialty training in areas such as trauma, eating disorders, serious mental illness, addiction, and related fields.

A Foundation on Your Path to CBT
The Academy of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies (A-CBT) is committed to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout the CBT community. Guided by the Diversity Action Committee (DAC), the Academy’s BIPOC Scholarship Program supports Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) professionals in advancing their expertise, certification, and leadership within the field.
Through this program, A-CBT provides financial assistance and professional development opportunities at two certification levels — Diplomate and Trainer Consultant. Each scholarship is designed to reduce financial barriers and empower more BIPOC clinicians to obtain A-CBT credentials while contributing their unique perspectives and cultural insight to the profession.

- Partial reimbursement for A-CBT conference registration
- Access to mentorship, committee participation, and professional networking opportunities
