Maintaining your A-CBT Certification reflects your ongoing commitment to excellence in Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies. We are grateful for your continued engagement with the Academy of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies and are pleased to support you through the annual renewal process.

Renewal Overview
All A-CBT credentials are renewed on an annual basis and renew automatically on January 1, 2026, unless otherwise updated by the credential holder.
Renewal is required to maintain:
- Your official A-CBT Certification Certificate
- Active certification status
- Access to the A-CBT Listserv and professional community
- Your listing in the Find a Therapist directory
- Where applicable, authorization to train and rate on behalf of A-CBT
Important Dates
Renewal Date: January 1, 2026
Deadline to Update Credentials or Payment Information:
December 18, 2025
If you need to make changes to your credential, certificate information, or payment method, please contact us at info@academyofcbt.org by the December 18th deadline to ensure uninterrupted renewal.
2026 Annual Renewal Rates
After more than 15 years at the same dues level, the Academy has implemented a modest adjustment to renewal rates to support continued growth, professional recognition, and expanded member resources while keeping pace with rising operational costs.
Diplomate
$175 + Applicable Processing Fees
Trainer/Consultant
$225 + Applicable Processing Fees
Professional Colleague
$90 + Applicable Processing Fees
Processing fees are assessed at the time of payment and are non-refundable.
Automatic Renewal & Payment
Renewals are processed automatically on January 1, 2026 using the payment method on file. Renewal is considered complete only upon successful processing of the full renewal amount, including applicable processing fees.
Credential holders are responsible for ensuring that payment information remains current.

Late Renewal & Reinstatement
Late Renewal & Reinstatement
A-CBT may offer a limited late renewal period following the renewal deadline. During this time, certification remains inactive until renewal is completed.
Credential holders who do not renew within the late renewal period must apply for reinstatement.
Reinstatement is not guaranteed and may require additional documentation, fees, and approval.

Consequences of Non-Renewal
If renewal is not successfully completed by January 1, 2026, certification status will lapse.
This includes:
- Removal of the A-CBT Certification Certificate
- Loss of active credential status
- Removal from the Find a Therapist directory
- Suspension of access to A-CBT member benefits
- Where applicable, loss of authorization to train or rate on behalf of A-CBT
- Credentials may not be represented or used while certification status is inactive.
